I worked as a Multimedia Graphics Editor at the Daily Mail for a year designing infographics, editing photos, and creating visual previews for their online articles. This was a fast paced newsroom environment that sped up my rate of production while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail, and I gained experience working on breaking news stories. The goal of the graphics was to clearly communicate complex topics and grab attention. All graphics followed Daily Mail's brand guidelines - their chosen typefaces, bright colors, and photo-heavy style. In addition to collaborating with my team of graphic designers and photo editors I also worked with journalists to produce charts, graphs, diagrams, and maps among other types of visuals to enhance the clarity of their stories. The graphics were published on their website and app, tailored to be viewed on a phone.
