For this series of movie posters I went out of my comfort zone and embraced a sketchy style, and using a limited color palette created a series or vignettes that help to show a bit of the chronology from the movie. I also created a pattern using hand written type that mimics the feeling of smoke from the horizontal, tri-foldable poster.
Communications Design includes Graphic Design, Illustration, and Art Direction. Here is some of my Illustration work including sequential narratives, charcoal drawings, flash tattoos, and other experimentation.
Short comic about angel numbers (seeing repeating numbers).
Autobiographical comic about getting pet bunnies.
These charcoal value drawings represent studies in tone, perspective, and depth. In the live model drawing, I focused on creating depth and form by capturing the darks, lights, and middle tones in the scene. In the perspective drawing of the Mammoth room at the Natural History Museum, I explored perspective, intersecting lines, and scale. In the classroom drawing, I focused on the intersection of objects in foreground and background, to create an accurate representation of deep space.
